# Design review dispositions

Five fresh reviewers independently assessed raw card data, full lists, sourced narrative briefs, current Oracle records, and the frozen commanders before reading one another's reports. Their initial reports remain available: [Zeus](zeus-cold.md), [Poseidon](poseidon-cold.md), [Hades](hades-cold.md), [Athena](athena-cold.md), and [whole set](set-cold.md).

## Findings and decisions

| Finding | Decision and result |
| --- | --- |
| Zeus P3: Elsha can shorten the response window after Titanomachy | Corrected metadata and walkthroughs distinguish an ordinary main-phase cast from a prior-end-step ambush. Printed design unchanged. |
| Zeus P3: Rhea's consolation creature can be useful | Corrected the story/counterplay notes: Athena makes it a 4/4 defender and it can crew. Printed design unchanged. |
| Poseidon P2: mono-blue Raft grants unconditional land acceleration | Changed P02 from `{2}{U}` to `{1}{G}{U}` and its colors to green-blue. Same mana value and full effect. Poseidon reviewer rechecked and closed the finding. |
| Hades H-C1, P2: Saga's population-scaled draw needs a black price | Retained two cards per marked creature, adding 1 life lost per marked creature. Applied the same small price to Orpheus's two-card attack trigger. [Hades recheck](hades-recheck.md) closes the material finding. |
| Hades H-C2, P3: Archon of Justice loses its death payoff under finality | Keep this existing scaffold slot and the exact ten substitutions. Document that normal casting/unmarked resurrection gives its death payoff; finality returns generally prefer enter/attack effects. No finality change. |
| Hades H-C3, P3: Welcome's commander theft is persistent | Clarify that a sacrificed commander reclaimed during the spell stays with Hades; the next state-based check offers no automatic escape. Preserve this intended spectacular theft. |
| Athena P3: Sthenelus's optional target risks the draw | Document that losing the sole graveyard target makes the whole trigger fail, while choosing zero targets preserves the draw. Printed design unchanged. |
| Athena P3: fallback sweeps also destroy her transformed tokens | Pilot notes explicitly distinguish Dusk/Elspeth fallback use and Dawn's inability to recover tokens or Athena. Printed design unchanged. |

The whole-set report found no demonstrated prohibited combo or release-blocking defect. Its three P2 labels describe **unmeasured playtest priorities**, not unresolved design failures: Athena's recovery against different wipes, Charon's early seat-dependent income, and Poseidon's combat deterrence. See [the playtest checklist](playtest-plan.md). The reviewers' different color-pie assessments were resolved conservatively through the two small corrections above, preserving every signature's dramatic effect.

An apparent Charon/Judgment/stolen Eternal Witness loop was rejected during review: the stolen Witness returns to Athena's graveyard, which Charon cannot target. Ownership matters. No card was weakened to fix that false positive.

## Orchestrator checks

All four illustrative opening, commander, sweep/rebuild, and late-attack sequences have been read. Poseidon and Athena's examples now use Zeus's actual final-list Blasphemous Act rather than a removed baseline sweeper. Each deck has an independent resource plan, graveyard interaction, retained mana foundation, and visible combat finish. All eight nominated signatures passed independent spectacle and narrative assessment. Reviewers also identified substantial additional moments in Lots, Chariot, and Triton's Kraken interactions.

These are design checks and rules reviews, **not multiplayer playtest results or a guarantee of balanced win rates**. The box is designed for high-power, answer-rich games with finite battlefield endings.

## Ready-for-art gate: passed

The Hades, Poseidon, and whole-set rechecks close the material findings and confirm no new issue from the bounded changes. The orchestrator inspected the corrected metadata and rules. Four valid lists, forty complete designs, eight reviewed signature haymakers, sourced narrative, and credible endings are present; no material finding or demonstrated prohibited combination remains open. The three whole-set playtest priorities remain explicitly unmeasured. The frozen artifact is `cards/clash-custom.yaml`, revision **clash-support-v1.0-20260925**. Rendering may begin; printed revisions return to review.
